=> Introduction of matter
- As we know matter is found in three state solid, liquid, and gas all the things that you see around us which is in the form of solid liquid and gas. We can classify the matter on the basis of their molecules arrangements. Matter is made up tiny particles this is called molecules. The consisting of two or more atom form a molecules. In it we will explain types of matter and their characteristics.
=>Solid state of matter
- In solid molecules are closely packed they have strong force of attraction there is no gap between its particle that's why It doesn't float on the surface of earth like liquid and gas.
=>Characteristics of solid
- They are rigid and very hard .
- They are incompressible .
- The molecules in solid molecules are closely packed.
- There is No gap between its particle.
- They have also strong force of attraction.
=>Liquid state of matter
- In liquid molecules are loosely packed. They have not strong force of attraction. There are very far gap between its particles that's why it floats on the surface of the earth.
=>Characteristics of liquid
- It has no fixed and volume.
- Molecules are loosely packed
- It takes shape in which it poured it
- It take shape in the container
=>Gas state of matter
- In gas molecules are very loosely packed they have not strong force of attraction. There are very far between its particle that's why it rises up up in the air easily and spread in our surroundings.
=>Characteristics of gas
- It has no fixed shape and volume.
- it can be compressed in very less place.
- molecules are very loosely packed that's why it rises up in the air.
=>The common property of solid liquid and gas:-
- The common property of solid liquid and gas are (i) They have mass (ii) They occupy space.
Required Answer :-
About matter :-
Anything that has mass and occupies space is known as matter. The smallest particle of a matter is known as atom. The atom of a matter can be seen with the help of microscope.
There are three kinds of matter
I) Solid - In this the molecules are tightly packed and there are no space for moving of molecules. Some example of solid are :-
Book
Table
Pen etc.
II) Liquid - In this molecules are loosely packed and there is some space for liquid to move. Some example of liquid are :-
Oil
Water
Juice etc.
III) Gas - In the molecules are very loosely packed and there is very much space for molecules to move. Some example are :-
Balloon
Water vapor etc.
Property of them
Solid -
Molecules are tightly packed.
No space for molecule to move
Have fixed shape and size.
Volume never changes
Liquid -
Molecules are loosely packed.
Few space for molecule to move
Do not Have fixed shape and size.
Volume never changes
Gas
Molecules are very loosely packed.
Much space for molecule to move
Do not have fixed shape and size.
Volume changes
