Subject: Complaint regarding religious intolerance and discrimination.
Respected Sir,
I'm a parent of a student by the name Abdul Kalam, who goes to your school daily. Recently, my child has faced immense discrimination and humiliation by one of the new teachers in your school. My child, who wore his cap signifying that he was Muslim, was asked to sit at the last bench because he was sitting next to a Hindu student, one who was the son of the High Priest.
I believe that this act is completely wrong and unjust. All of us have our own beliefs, but there's always one thing common amongst them. And that is to practise toleration. Our children are very young as well. Seeing such acts, they will start to form a sense of hatred amongst one another regarding religion. We must not poison young ones with the deeds of social inequality and communal intolerance.
I hope you understand and I'm sure you wouldn't approve of such an act either. I hope you and your school team will hold sessions for both teachers and students on the importance of tolerance, be it regarding religion, caste or even skin colour.
