To Find :

The number of cubic centimeter blocks will be required to make these cubes/cuboids

  • 4cm×8cm×7cm
  • 4m×50cm×0.1m
  • lenght of an edge = 0.2m
  • Each side = 4cm

Concept:

In this question, it is asked that how many cubic centimeters block (block of volume 1cm³) are required to make the whole cube/cuboid. So, we need to find actually the volume of all the cube/cuboid in cm³ as for example :

Eg: Of a cube has a volume of 8cm³, we can wrote it as 8×1cm³. This means that, it is made up of 8 cubic centimeter blocks.

Solution :

1] Dimensions given :

4cm×8cm×7cm

So, Volume :

=> 4cm×8cm×7cm

=> 224 cm³

So, we can write it as :

224×1cm³,

which means that 224 blocks of 1cm³ are required to build this cuboid

2] Dimensions given:

4m×50cm×0.1m

4m = 400 cm

0.1m = 10 cm

So, Volume :

=> 400cm × 50cm × 10cm

=> 2,00,000 cm³

So, 2,00,000 blocks of 1cm³ are required to build this cuboid

3] Side of edge given = 0.2m

0.2 m = 20 cm

so, Volume :

=> 20cm × 20cm× 20cm

=> 8000 cm³

So, 8000 blocks of 1 cm³ are required to make this cube

4] Side lenght = 4cm

So, Volume :

=> 2cm × 2cm × 2cm

=> 8cm³

So, 8 blocks of 1cm³ are required to make this cube.
