EXPLANATION:-
GIVEN:-
- A father and his son decide to sum their age. The sum is equal to sixty years. Six years ago the age of the father was five times the age of the son
EXPLANATION:-
Let the present age of son is x years
Then the present age of father will be=(60-x) years
Age of father 6 years ago=54-x years
Similarily age of son 6 years age=x-6 years
Now, A.T.Q
54-x=5(x-6)
54-x=5x-30
54+30=5x+x
84=6x
x=84/6
x=14
So the value of x is 14 years,Which implies that,

Given :-
▪ A father and his son decide to sum their age. The sum is equal to sixty years. Six years ago the age of the father was five times the age of the son.
To Find :-
▪The age of the son after 6 years.
Solution :-
✏According to 1st condition:-
Let the present age of the son be x years
& the father's age is (60-x) years.
✏According to the 2nd condition:-
The age of the father six years ago
= (60-x) -6
= (54-x) years
& the age of the son will be ( x-6) years.
✏As per the question, we have
54 -x = 5(x-6)
➯ 6x =84
➯ x = 14
Hence, the sons age after 6 years
= x+6
= 14+6
= 20 years
So, the correct option is C) 20 years.
