First we convert the given resistance in the standard form so that we can identify it's significant digits using appropriate orders of magnitude

So, 0.51 + 10%

= 5.1 * 10^-1 + 10%

So, because the first significant digit is 5

The color is green,

second significant digit is 1 so the colour of the second band should be brown For 10^-1 band should be gold and for fourth tolerance of 10% it should be a silver band.
