 \frac{ \sin \: x }{1 + \cos \: x } \\ \\ = \frac{2 \sin\frac{x}{2} \cos \frac{x}{2} }{2 \cos^{2} \frac{x}{2} } \\ \\ = \frac{ \sin \frac{x}{2} }{ \cos \frac{x}{2}} \\ \\ = \tan\frac{x}{2}
