Answer:

\sqrt{2x+9}+x=13\\=>\sqrt{2x+9}=13-x\\=>2x+9=(13-x)^{2} (squaring both sides)

=>2x+9=13^{2}+x^{2}-2*13*x\\       (a+b)^{2}=a^{2}+b^{2}+2ab

=>2x+9=169+x^{2}-26x\\=>2x+26x=169+x^{2}-9\\=>28x=160+x^{2}\\=>28x-x^{2}=160\\=>x(28-x)=160\\=>28-x=\frac{160}{x}\\=>-x=\frac{160}{x}-28=\frac{160-28x}{x}\\=>-x^{2}=160-28x

This was how far I could get mate. Tell me if you could crack this sum. I am very intrigued.
