⚫What were the reasons for the partition of Bengal ?
▶️The britishers wanted to separate the Hindus and the Muslims to weaken the national movement in Bengal as it was very strong.
▶️This was the real intention of the Britishers but the reason that they gave to the Indians for the partition of Bengal was that since Bengal was to big, it was important to divide it so that it could be governed efficiently.
▶️Administrative convenience means to keep society running in the most efficient and convenient way possible.

⏩Impact of the Partition of Bengal on the Freedom movement in India :
In 1905, Lord Curzon divided Bengal into two provinces. The Bengalis considered this as an insult to the fair name of their mother-land. The sentiments of the people of Bengal were hurt.
It led to strong opposition and Indians started a movement against the British Government.
Against the Partition of Bengal, Extremists organised the Swadeshi Movement and the Boycott of British goods.
The partition led to the growth of revolutionaries and the agitation in Bengal against lie British Government spread throughout the country
