\sf{\underline{1)\:Iconic\:bond:}}

It is the bond, which is formed when two atoms come together and one atom loses an electron and other gains an electron.

\sf{\underline{Example:}}

In the formation if ionic bond between Mg and Cl, Mg looses two electrons and 2 Cl atoms gain one electron each, the constituent particles are ions Mg^{2+} and Cl^{-}

\sf{\underline{2)\:Covalent\:bond:}}

It is a chemical bond which involve the sharing of a pair of electrons between two atoms and two atoms are valence electron in opposite to the transfer of electrons in ionic bonds.

\sf{\underline{Example:}}

CH_{4} molecule show a 4 covalent bonds between carbon and hydrogen due to sharing of electron.

\sf{\underline{3)\:Coordinate\:bond:}}

It is a type of covalent bond formed between two species in which shared pair of electrons is denoted by one species only but shared by both species.

\sf{\underline{Example:}}

NH_{3} shares the pair of electrons present on Nitrogen with BF_{3}, which is electron deficient.

\sf{\underline{4)\:Metallic\:bond:}}

A chemical bond in which electrons are shared over many nuclei and electronic conduction occurs is called metallic bond.

\sf{\underline{Example:}}

The mercurous ion (Hg_{2}^{2+}) forms covalent metal-metal bonds.

hey buddy!

1) Iconic bond- Ionic bonding is a type of chemical bonding that involves the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions, and is the primary interaction occurring in ionic compounds. example- LiF - Lithium Fluoride.

LiCl - Lithium Chloride

2) Covalent bond- A covalent bond, also called a molecular bond, is a chemical bond that involves the sharing of electron pairs between atoms. example- Water molecule (H2O) One oxygen atom joins with two hydrogen atoms.

3) Coordinate bond- A coordinate covalent bond, also known as a dative bond or coordinate bond is a kind of 2-center, 2-electron covalent bond in which the two electrons derive from the same atom. example- molecule of ammonia, a Lewis base with a lone pair of electrons on the nitrogen atom, and boron trifluoride, a Lewis acid by virtue of the boron atom having an incomplete octet of electrons.

4) metallic bond- Metallic bonding is a type of chemical bonding that rises from the electrostatic attractive force between conduction electrons and positively charged metal ions. example-iron, cobalt, calcium.

I hope u find this answer helpful.
