 \mathsf{\huge{Question}}

7. The area of a rectangular field is 3100 m² and it's length is 62m. Find the distance covered by a boy while going 4 times around the field.

 \mathsf{\huge{Answer}}

Given that,

Area = 3100m²

Length = 62m.

To find,

The distance covered in 4 rounds of the rectangular field = ?

Before finding the distance, we have to find the perimeter of the field, and for this we have to find the breadth of the rectangular field.

Let x be the breadth.

Area = lb

3100m² = 62m*x

 \frac{3100m^2}{62m} = x

50m = x

Therefore, breadth is 50m.

Now, we'll find the perimeter of the rectangular field.

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

Perimeter = 2(62m+50m)

Perimeter = 2(112m)

Perimeter = 224m

Therefore, the perimeter is 224m.

Now we've to find the distance covered by a boy going 4 times around the field.

For this, we've to multiply perimeter with 4.

=> Therefore, the distance = perimeter * 4.

=> Distance = 224m * 4

=> Distance = 896m.

Therefore, the covered 896m in those 4 rounds.
