sin {}^{2} 40 \:  +  \: cos {}^{2} 40 \:  =  \: 1

Reasons for the answer :- We have an identity saying Sin square + Cos square is equal to one , So only Cos and Sin have some value 40 so on Sin square 40 + Cos square 40 we get 1
