40/50 = 4/5

2 bag 48 seed germinated

48/50 = 24/25

3 bag 42 seed germinated

42/50 = 21/25

4 bag 39 seed germinated

39/50 = 39/50

5 bag 41 seed germinated

41/50 = 41/50

total = 4/5+24/25+21/25+39/50+41/50 = 21/5 = 4.5
