Because petrol and diesel burn very fast and they are costly too. Hence LPG is used in cylinders.

LPG is a liquid and gas mixture means when in room temperature it's in gas but if we pressurised it it become liquid ,reason 1) LPG cannot be flame on water so it's can be used for household purposes
