Solution:-

x - 2^2 - 2x = (-2)(3 - x)

=> x - 2^2 - 2x = -6 + 2x

=> x - 2^2 - 2x - 2x = -6

=> x - 4 - 4x + 6 = 0

=> x - 4x + 2 = 0

=> x - ( 2 - 2 ) x + 2 = 0

=> x - 2x + 2x + 2 = 0

=> x + 2 = 0

=> x = -2
