Hey user here is your answer.....

---->Given equation - x^2+5x+4

---->To find - x

◆By middle term splitting

x^2+4x+x+4

◆Take common

◆x(x+4)+1(x+4)

◆(x+1)(x+4)

◆x+1=0
&
◆x+4=0

◆x=-1 & x=-4

Thanks☺️

Heya !!!

This is Your Answer..

Given :-
x² + 5x + 4

We have to look for two numbers a and b such that a+b = 5 and ab = 4.
Now, looking at prime factorisation of 4...
4 = 1 X 2 X 2.
Hence, we get a = 1 and b = 2X2 = 4.
So,
x² + 5x + 4
= x² + 4x + x + 4
= x (x + 4) + 1 (x + 4)
= (x+1) (x + 4)

x = -1 Or x = -4.

Hope It Helps
