x {}^{3}  + 2x {}^{2}  - x  - 2 = 0 \\ x {}^{3}  + 2x {}^{2}  - x = 2 \\ x(x {}^{2}  + 2x - 1) = 2 \\ x(x {}^{2}  + 2x - 1) - 2 = 0 \\  {x}^{2} + 2x - 1 - 2 = 0 \\ x {}^{2}   + 2x - 3 = 0 \\ x {}^{2}   - x + 3x - 3 = 0 \\ x(x - 1) + 3(x - 1) = 0 \\ (x - 1)(x + 3) = 0 \\  \\ now.. \\  \\ (x - 1) = 0 \\ x = 1 \\ (x + 3) = 0 \\  x  =  - 3
