Hey there,

=> x+20/x-12=0

=>x^2-12x+20=0

=>x^2-10x-2x+20=0

=>x(x-10)-2(x-10)=0

=>(x-2)(x-10)=0

=>x=2,x=10

Hope it helps

Given that

x + \frac{20}{x} - 12 = 0

=>

 {x}^{2} - 12x + 20 = 0

=>

 {x}^{2} - 10x - 2x + 20 = 0

=>

x(x - 10) - 2(x - 10) = 0

=>

(x - 10)(x - 2) = 0

=>

x = 10 \: or \: 2
