Hey mate!

(x × 1 ÷ 4) + 30 = x

 \bold{x \times  \frac{1}{4}  + 30 = x }\\  \\  \frac{x}{4}  - x =  - 30 \\  \\  \frac{x - 4x}{4}  =  - 30 \\  \\  \frac{ \cancel{ - }3 \: x}{4}  =  \cancel{ -}  \: 30 \\  \\ 3x = 30 \times 4 \\  \\ x =  \frac{120}{3}  \\  \\  \bold{ \therefore \: x = 40}

Thanks for the question!
