Let the capacity of glass be 12 units

Milk in first glass = (1/3)*12 = 4 units

Water in first glass = 12 - 4 = 8 units

Milk in first glass = (1/4)*12 = 3 units

Water in first glass = 12 - 3 = 9 units

total milk = 4+3 = 7 units

total water = 8 + 9 = 17 units

Milk : Water = 7:17
