Given data:
The molar heat capacity of zinc = 25.40 J / K / mol
We have to calculate the specific heat capacity of zinc.
i-e,
Specific heat capacity of zinc = ?
Solution:
The relation between specific heat capacity and molar heat capacity is given as:
Molar heat capacity = Specific heat capacity x Molar mass  .......... (1)
We know that,
Molar mass of zinc = 65.38 g / mol
Substituting all the values in equation (1), we get:
Molar heat capacity = Specific heat capacity x Molar mass
25.40 = Specific heat capacity x 65.38
Specific heat capacity = 25.40 / 65.38
Specific heat capacity = 0.3885 J / K / g
Thus the specific heat capacity of zinc is 0.3885 J / K / g
which is the required answer.
Hope it will help you.
