 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

STEP 1: Find the sum of the age of the 24 students:

Average age of the 24 students = 12 years old

Sum of the age of the 24 students = 12 x 24 = 288 years

..............................................................................................

STEP 2: Find the sum of the age of the 24 students and the teacher:

12 + 2 = 14 years

Average age of the 25 people = 14

Sum of the age of the 25 people = 14 x 25 = 350 years

.............................................................................................

STEP 3: Find the age of the teacher:

Age = 350 - 288 = 62 years old

.............................................................................................

Answer: The teacher is 62 years old

Given "Average age of 24 students is 12 years"

We know that

Average of terms = Sum of terms / no.of terms

So..

Average age = sum of ages of the students/ no.of students

12 = sum of ages of the students/24

12×24 = sum of ages of the students

288 = sum of ages of the students...

If the age of teacher is also added..then the average will increase by 2...

That current average + upward trend

12 + 2 = 14...

Let the age of teacher be 'x'

total no.of people will be 25 (24 students + 1 teacher)

new average -

14 = 288 + x / 25

14 × 25 = 288 + x

350 =288 + x

350 - 288 = x

62 = x
..so the age of the teacher is '62 years'
