Correct Question :-

The digit of a two digit number differ by 3. If the digits are interchanged and the resulting number is added to the original number we get 143. What can be the original number ?

SoluTion :-

Let the 1st digit be x

And the 2nd digit be y

The two digit number is xy

According To The Question,

\rm {x - y = 3 \ ...(i)}

\rm {10x + y + 10y + x = 143}\\\\\\\rm {11x + 11y = 143}\\\\\\\rm {x + y = 13 ...(ii)}

Solving (i) and (ii),

The digits are - 8 and 5

Thus, the original number = 85 or 58
