Solution :-

we know that,

• Ratio of area od two similar ∆'s = Ratio of square of their corresponding sides .

so,

→ Area ∆1 : Area ∆2 = (side 1)² : (side 2)²

→ Area ∆1 : Area ∆2 = (4)² : (9)²

→ Area ∆1 : Area ∆2 = 16 : 81 (Ans.)

Hence, the ratio of their areas will be 16 : 81 .
