☆Hello friend☆

Perimeter of parallelogram = Sum of all sides

Let unknown side be x

60 cm = 12 cm + 12 cm + x + x

60 cm = 24 cm + 2x

60 cm - 24 cm = 2x

36 cm = 2x

36 cm/2 = x

18 cm = x

Hope it helps☺

sneha2030: 2(l+b)=60
ShuchiRecites: Ya we can use it
ShuchiRecites: But many get confused that why we parallelogram as rectangle
ShuchiRecites: so i wrote perimter of all sides
sneha2030: ohh...may b yess...but anyway the answer will be the same right??
ShuchiRecites: yes
ShuchiRecites: ofcoirse
ShuchiRecites: ofcourse
sneha2030: mm...ok

Heya ☺

Given that

Perimeter of a parallelogram = 60 cm

Smaller side = 12 cm

Longer side = ?

Solution

Let the length of the longer side be (x) cm. Then,

Perimeter of a parallelogram = 2(sum of adjacent sides)

=> 60 = 2(12+x)

=> 60/2 = 12 + x

=> 30 = 12 + x

=> 30 - 12 = x

=> x = 18

Longer side = 18 cm

Thanks
