according to your question..(5:7)-3=2:3
now let the numbers be x..
so 5x-3/7x-3=2:3
5x -3. 2
____=___
7x-3. 3
so now on transposing them we get..
=3(5x-3)=2(7x-3)
=15x-9=14x-6
therefore x=3
so now we finally got the numbers..
and they are 5x(5*3)=15
and 7x(7*3)=21
