Because toothpaste contains salts which are basic in nature when the bacteria tries our teeth to suffer with cavity than they need acidic medium which they get by the stuck go d in mouth so when we brush with toothpaste then the basic salts of paste do not allow to have our mouth to become acidic so that's why we do not get cavities after doing brush properly.
