Heavy water is used as moderator and coolant in nuclear reactors.

• Emulsion is the dispersion of the particles of one liquid in another such that they are not miscible.

• Milk is the dispersion of fat globules as well as protein molecules( casein micelles) in an aqueous environment( water). They are not soluble and thereby remains separately as a layer.
