This statement is true because when we think metaphorically, we find similarities and draw comparisons between seemingly unrelated topics, feelings or objects. For example, "Time is money" is a very famous metaphor, it states that time is as valuable as money, in that a person with more time can potentially more money and thus, a person who doesn't waste time will have more time and thus, more earning potential in his/her life because time is, if not more, as valuable as money . Here, the metaphorical thought process has made understand a hidden meaning in this simple sentence. We have tapped into our critical thinking skills to understand the deeper meaning of this metaphor and in a similar manner,thinking metaphorically will enhance critical thinking.
