Given that it can be rolled in two ways along length and along breadth.


(i)

Rectangular sheet is rolled among its length:

Length = 30 cm.

Circumference of the base of cylinder = 2πr.

⇒ 2 * (22/7) * r₁ = 30

⇒ 44 * r₁ = 210

⇒ r₁ = 210/44.


Volume of cylinder = πr₁^2h

                                = (22/7) * (210/44) * h

                                = 15h


(ii)

Rectangular sheet is rolled along its breadth.

Breadth = 18 cm.

Circumference of the base of cylinder = 2πr.

⇒ 2 * (22/7) * r₂ = 18

⇒ 44 * r₂ = 126

⇒ r₂ = 126/44


Volume of cylinder = πr₂^2h

                                = (22/7) * (126/44) * h

                                 = 9h.


Ratio of their volumes:

⇒ 15h : 9h

⇒ 5 : 3.


Therefore, the ratio of volume of two cylinders = 5:3.
