Turning point was when the author and the grandmother were asked to shift to the city once the author's parents were well settled. This was the turning point because even though both shared the same room, they saw less of each other. She couldn't leave him at school anymore as he opted for a motor bus as the school was far off. Also she couldn't help him in his studies anymore as he used to go to English medium School now. (You can add more if you want...it's there in the book. You can write about the dogs, the subjects he had at school, music, etc)

Hope it helps you yaar!

When author's parents were comfortably settled in the city, they called the author and the grandmother there. This was a turning point in their friendship. She could no longer came to his English school . And there was no street dogs in the city. So, she started feeding dogs. As the years rolled by they saw less each other.
