here it is

ax²+b x+c

here it is , p x+q

hence it will be in the form , bx+ c

here ,

b=p and c= q

then we know that zero's of the quadratic polynomial = alpha and beta

Also

alpha + beta = (-b)/a = p/a

alpha × beta = c/a = q/a

then adding both ,

we get ;

zero = q/p
