Explanation:

  • The one lakth post office was opened in Brahmpur chaurasta in Bihar on July  1st, 1968. It was a unique milestone for the government of India and a special postage stamp was issued to commemorate it.
  • The design of the stamp was vertical and depicted a letter box as a symbol of post office.  On the top the words "Aharisham Sevamahe" were printed, and along the letter box  one lakh Dakghar was written in figures and Hindi.
  • The design was prepared by Shri C.R Pakrashi.
