The 10th term of an ap is 47. And it's 15th term is 72. Find the ap

Answer to your question:

We know,

T=a+(n-1)

a+(10-1)d=47
a+9d=47
a=47-9d---(i)

a+(15-1)d=72
a+14d=72----(ii)
using (i) in (ii),
47-9d+14d=72
5d=72-47
5d=25
d=5

Put value of d in (i)
a=47-9 (5)
=47-45=2

A.P.=2,2+5,2+2 (5),......
=2,7,12....

minus to minus cancel
d=5
Put d= 5 in eqn. 1

a+9(5) = 47
a+45=47
a=2

Ap = 2,7,12....
