The 12th term of a sequence is 16, work out the third term of the sequence. The term-term rule is subtract three.

Answer:

given n¹²= 16

commom difference d=-3

a= first term in sequence

we know that the sequence is decreasing uniformly..i.e Arithmetic progression

so n¹²= a+(n-1)d => 16= a+(12-1)(-3) => a=49

now, n³= a+(3-1)(-3) = 49+ 2×(-3) = 43

cant type n base 12 so i mentioned them as powers dont mind them
