Let a and d be the first term and common difference of the AP

Given that,

17th term = 10th term + 7

 \implies \:  \sf{a + 16d = a + 9d  + 7} \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{ \cancel{a} + 16d =  \cancel{a} + 9d  + 7} \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{7d = 7} \\  \\ \:  \implies \:  \boxed{\sf{d = 1}}

Thus,the common difference of the AP is 1
