Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The 17th term of an ap is 20 more than the 13th term

To Find:  the common difference

Solution :

Formula of nth term in A.P. = a+(n-1)d

Where a is the first term

n is the term number

d is the common ratio

Thus 17th term =  a+(17-1)d =a+16d

13th term = a+(13-1)d =a+12d

Since we are given that The 17th term of an ap is 20 more than the 13th term

Thus  a+16d =a+12d +20

16d =12d +20

4d =20

d=\frac{20}{4}

d=5

Thus the common ratio is 5
