⇒ There was a rapid increase in population during the first half of the 19th century which led to widespread unemployment.

⇒ The unemployed rural people migrated from villages to cities for earning bread. Thiis worsened the living conditions and town.

⇒ Cheap machine-made goods from England made it impossible for the small producers to compete.

⇒ Peasants suffered because of less agrarian facilities, burden of feudal dues and obligations, bad harvest and price rise. It led to widespread rural poverty.
