The 1st,3 rd and 4th proportion
are 12 , 8 and 14 respectively ? Find the 2 term?

let the second proportional be x

12:x::8:14
12/x=8/14
8x=14*12
8x=168
x=168/8
x=21

hence,
the second proportional is 21
