The 1st ,3rd and 4th terms of proportion are 12, 8and 14 respectively. Find the 2nd term

a=12 a3=8 a4=14 Now, a3=a+2d a+2d=8 12+2d=8 2d=8-12 d =-2 a2=a+d a2=12+(-2) a2=10 Therefore, 2 nd term is 10
