surface area of the cuboid = lb + bh + hl
surface area = 108 + 72 + 96 = 276 cm²

volume of the cuboid  = lbh
lb = 108 ⇒ b = 108/l
bh = 72
hl = 96 ⇒ h = 96/l

bh = 72
(108×96)/l² = 72
l² = (108×96)/72
l² = 144
l = 12
volume of the cuboid = l×bh
volume of the cuboid = 12 × 72
volume of the cuboid = 864 cm³
