There were four varna's in ancient India:-Brahmin:- Brahmin community was at the top of the caste system. This community was considered as superior of all the other communities. It is believed that this community got its origin from the mouth of Brahma. This community usually constitutes priests, teacher and scholars.Kshatriya:- kshatriya community was below Brahmins, at the second position. It was believed that this community got its origin from the arms of Brahma. This community usually constitutes king, rulers and administrators.Vaishya:- Vaishyas were the people of vaishya community. They were considered inferior to Brahmins and kshatriyas. It was believed that this community got its origin from the thigh of Brahma. This community constitutes of traders.shudra:- shudra community was the most inferior community of the society. It was believed that this community got its origin from the feet of the Brahma. This community usually constitutes of laborers and service providers.
