Step-by-step explanation:

  • given a=-11 and a2=-8
  • and also last term or an=49
  • now d=a2-a1=-8-(-11)=-8+11=3
  • according to question
  • an=a+(n-1)d
  • 49=-11+(n-1)3
  • 49+11=(n-1)3
  • since, n-1=60/3
  • n=20+1=21
  • hence number of term are 21
  • so 4th term from the term is 18th term
  • now again according to question
  • a18=a+(n-1)d
  • a18=-11+(18-1)3
  • a18=-11+17×3
  • a18=-11+51
  • a18=40
  • hence the 4th term of this ap from end is 40.....
