The 5th term of an arithmatic sequence is 38 and 8th term is 62. will the difference of between any 2 terms of this sequence is be 100? why?

Answer:

difference between any two terms of an AP must be a multiple of d

d=(62-38)/(8-5)

=24/3

=8

100÷8=12.5

since this number is not divisible by d it is not a difference between the two terms of this sequence
