the 6 term of an ap is zero prove that the 30 term of an ap is 3 times its 10 term

Dhruv00: Are u sure that t30 = 3× t10
vandanaparisharma: yes definetly
vandanaparisharma: i think i am getting an wrong answer in this Q
Dhruv00: but it is coming that t30= 6* t10
Dhruv00: plz recheck the Q
vandanaparisharma: but in my Q paper it is clearly printed that its three times its 10 term
Dhruv00: sum 10 terms of only 10th term

use formula,

Tn = a + (n -1)d
where a is the first term and d is the common difference of AP.

T6 =0

a + (6 -1)d =0

a + 5d =0
a = -5d

now,

T30. = 3T10

LHS = a + (30 - 1)d = a + 29d = -5d +29d =24d

RHS = 3(a + 9d ). = 3(-5d + 9d) = 12d

LHS ≠ RHS

something wrong in question.

vandanaparisharma: this q is same as in my q paper
abhi178: something wrong dear , because not possible
vandanaparisharma: okk then i will talk to my sir about this well thanks for your kind concern to my Q which is proved wrong right now
abhi178: okay
