Answer:

The answer will be false or not true.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given that;

                a_{6}\\ or 6th term = -15;

                also the AP is given;

So, we can find d or difference between two terms;

Hence, d = 14 - 17;

                = -3;

In the AP we have given;

                     a or first term = 17;

So, in order to satisfy whether -15 will be the 6th term or not, we have to use a formula and i.e,

                  a_{n}\\  = a + d(n-1);

               here,  a_{n}\\ = nth terms integer

                          d = difference between two terms in the AP

                         n = terms

                         a = first term of the AP

Now, put  the given data in appropriate place in the formula;

   So,                a_{6}\\ = a + d(6-1);

                        -15 = 17 + (-3)(5);

                         -15 = 17 - 15;

                        -15 = 3;

So, here LHS ≠ RHS, hence it doesn't satisfy the question.

So the answer will be false or not.

That's all.
