As per the question,
Let the sequence be a,a+d,a+2d,a+3d....
So given,. a+6d = 15 and a+3d= 9.
Subtracting 7th term by 4th term.
=> a+6d-a-3d=15-9.
=> 3d=6.
=>d=6/3 = 2.
Substituting value of d in any term we get,
=>a+6d=15.
=>a+6×2=15.
=>a=15-12=3.
So the fifth term= a+4d= 3+4×2=3+8=11.
