With the given data, we can form 2 equations:-

by the formula,

${a}^{n} = a + (n - 1)d$

1. a + (7-1)d = -4
2. a + (13-1)d = -16

subtraction of the two equation gives us the result,

$6d = 12 \\ \\ d \: = \frac{12}{6} \\ \\ d = 2$

putting d value in equation 1, we get,

$a = - 28$

From this, we can form the AP from the general stucture: a, a+d, a+2d, a+3d etc..

Therefore the AP is,

-28, -26, -24, -22 and so on.
