Let the first term be a and common difference be d.

∴ EIGHTH TERM = a + 7d = 17.......(i)

  FOURTEENTH TERM = a + 13d = 29 ......(ii)

(ii) - (i) ⇒ a + 13d - a - 7d = 29 - 17

         ⇒ 6d = 12

          ⇒ d =2

 COMMON DIFFERENCE = 2 ∴ OPTION : (b) 2
