Given,

The  A.M. of 14, 16, x, 25, 21 is 19.

To Find,

The value of x =?

Solution,

We can solve the question as follows:

It is given that the arithmetic mean of 14, 16, x, 25, 21 is 19.

We know that the arithmetic mean of a set of observations is given as:

A.M. = \frac{Sum of Observations}{TotalObservations}

Here,

Sum of observations = 14 + 16 + x + 25 + 21

                                   = 76 + x

Total observations = 5

A.M. = 19

Substituting the values in the above formula,

19 = \frac{76 + x}{5}

Now, we will solve the above equation and find x.

19*5 = 76 + x

95 = 76 + x

x = 95 - 76 = 19

Hence, the value of x is 19.
