There are 8 parts of speech :

1) Noun: Names of a person, place, thing.

2) Pronoun: It is used in place of a noun for not repeating the same nouns.

3) Verb: It describes an action.

4) Adverb: It describes the verb or adjectives.

5) Adjectives: It describes the noun or pronoun.

6) Proposition: It is used before a noun or pronoun to show time, place, etc.

7) Conjunction: It helps to join words or sentences.

8) Interjection: It expresses strong emotions.
